About info/Experience

Louis Gray is from the Wrexham area and has been playing professional football as a goalkeeper for the last 7 years. Louis started playing at grassroots level in Wrexham before signing for his hometown club Wrexham at the age of 16. Louis was selected to represent his country, Wales, for the under 17 European Championships. One year later Louis signed his first professional contract with Wrexham FC. Louis gained experience with loan spells at Rhyl and Cefn Druids before signing for Premier League giants Everton FC

During his time at Everton Louis was part of the under 23 team that were crowned Premier League 2 champions in 2017. Louis was named in Everton’s premier league squad and travelled with the first team for league and cup games as third choice goalkeeper.

In January 2018 Louis joined League 2 side Carlisle United on a short term loan until the end of the season. Louis made the move to Carlisle permanent at the start of the following season. Louis spent 2 years with Carlisle before signing for National League north side Chester FC at the start of the 20/21 season.

Louis’ passion is goalkeeping and knows how important it is to have quality coaching from a young age. He feels now is the right time for him to give back to grassroots football and pass on his knowledge of goalkeeping to the young up and coming goalkeepers in the North Wales/Cheshire area. After working with some of the best coaches in the premier League during his time at Everton Louis has gained excellent knowledge on goalkeeping and a whole host of different training methods and ideas.
