Meet Our Team

Jason Jamal
Director of Goalkeeping

Welcome
This will be my Twelfth year with Just 4 Keepers running weekly sessions, camps and private 1on1 sessions throughout the North West London area. And I am looking forward to seeing my students grow further with their goalkeeping and further develop as a coach myself in 2019.

Last year a number of students signed semi pro and pro academy contracts and its fantastic to see there technical ability, confidence and personalities shine through.

Its also been fantastic to work with local grass roots clubs, helping develop their keepers, running fund raising events and supporting each other in developing the number one priority.. the kids. I hope to build more bridges in 2019 and help support local grass roots football.

‘Mentoring aspiring young footballers is such a privilege’.

Bio
Jason was a late comer to goalkeeping, starting in goal when he was fifteen years old when his team goalkeeper at the time got injured. Jason went in goal originally just for cover, but played that well he has stayed in goal ever since!

Jason was such a natural in goal that he signed for semi professional team Torrington FC, playing in their first team at just sixteen! He then moved to neighbouring clubs Barnstaple and Bideford Town earning plaudits and impressing Reading FC where he played for a few months before moving onto Birmingham city who took him as first team cover against Wolves in the FA cup.

Eventually Jason came back taking his experiences to sign for Tiverton Town, before moving back to his home town Bideford.

Over his years as a semi professional goalkeeper, Jason played more than 250 first team games.

Jason was then invited to move to the USA to focus his efforts on becoming a goalkeeping coach. Being based in the North West Jason coached at club, camp and college level throughout Seattle, Tacoma and Portland advising coaches and mentoring aspiring young goalkeepers to reach their full potential.

On returning to the UK Jason’s passion for goalkeeping and inspiring young goalkeepers guided him to cross paths with Just 4 Keepers joining in 2008 where his efforts are second to none.

Jason has trained with Shaka Hislop and has been coached by the England legend Peter Bonnetti so he has A LOT of experience to draw from to help his goalkeeping students.
