About our Head Coach
Conor originally started out as an outfield player, however, at the age of 13 on the advice from his coaches made the transition to being a goalkeeper, it was here where Conor developed a passion and love for the position which still grows every day. While training at a Goalkeeping Development Centre based in London ran by Charlton Athletic coaches and featuring for a number of clubs across South London, appearing in a few London County Cup Final runs, Conor started to pick up a desire to the coaching side of goalkeeping and started attending courses and events at just 16 years old.
At this time in his playing career, Conor was trialling for a scholarship scheme with Charlton Athletic, however, after being invited back, Conor’s family moved out of London and into the great English countryside, and joined a two year college scholarship scheme in partnership with Step 4 club Kempston Rovers, at this point Conor also joined Step 5 club Potton United and was involved in and around their first team of semi professional clubs at just 17 years old, however, it was at this point where Conor was either training or playing every day of the week that he suffered from reoccurring knee injuries, which resulted in him deciding at the start of his university degree to focus on coaching.
Following this Conor then took up the role of First Team Goalkeeping Coach at Potton United at 18 years old, while also working with a range of young goalkeepers from clubs such as Potton United, Stotfold FC, Biggleswade Town and Biggleswade FC. Conor has also worked across multiple Goalkeeping Development Centres, providing high quality training, support and guidance on the physical, social, psychological and technical aspects of goalkeeping to youth goalkeepers at professional, semi professional and grassroots clubs. Conor is currently the First Team Goalkeeping Coach at Biggleswade FC who are play in the Southern League Central Division 1. He currently holds an FA Goalkeeping Level Two and works towards continuously learning and developing his coaching methods and sessions to ensure that any of his goalkeeper students develop as goalkeepers as well as individuals.
