Goalkeeper Training in Devon
Andy started playing in goal at the age of 10,a quick and agile goalkeeper,his talent was soon spotted and represent Plymouth school boys,at the age of 16 he made his debut for Tavistock AFC.Playing time was cut short as he joined the Royal Navy,Andy’s playing career now took off representing the RN youth ,RN senior and Combined services football teams winning many trophies and tournaments including inter service championships, Kentish cup.
Andy left the service in 1998 and made the No 1 goalkeeping position his own at Tavistock AFC,staying loyal to his home club despite many trying to prize him away,he has now amassed a massive 815 games,also representing Devon county and south western league select sides.Andy started coaching goalkeepers 10 years ago at Torquay elite development centre,later moving to Plymouth Argyle where he has helped develop young Goalkeepers at its centre of excellence over the last 2 years,as well as coach all youth goalkeepers at Tavistock.
Andy has helped develop many goalkeepers some going on to play in the USA some playing at semi pro level.
Andy has level 2 coaching badgers plus relevant CRB and first aid certificates,he brings with him over 25 years of football experience and he wants to give all young goalkeepers the opportunity to reach their full potential .
