Did you know 90% of keepers do not wear the glove that is correct for their hand?
Result: Alot of drop footballs and a keeper that looks dodgy! (Also your gloves wear away ALOT quicker!)
EVERY glove on the market has its own fit, so one glove can differ from another, so you need to know whats the best glove cut for you?
when keepers look for goalkeeper gloves for sale they just buy the ones their favourite professional goalkeeper wears. BIG MISTAKE… because their hand shape is most probably different to yours!
Did you know for example, roll finger gloves are best for keepers with thin hands, and negative cut gloves are best for keepers with broad hands! So if you get this the wrong way around, this will not help your goalkeeping!
The ONLY way you are going to find out if a goalkeeper glove is best for your hand is trying them on in a game or ideally a training session. Now this means you might waste your money BUT as there are only really four main goalkeeper glove cuts, Flat, Roll, Hybrid and negative it will not break the ban to find out the best goalie glove for you!
The best advice I can give you, when you put a pair of gk gloves on that feel really comfortable… go with your instinct and use these keeper gloves. Word of warning – If you put goalkeeper gloves on and they feel wrong, even by a tiny tiny bit DO NOT wear them as the chances are these gloves are not for you and this is your body telling you so!
So try different glove cuts and see what best for you!
