Bio

Alessandro’s journey with soccer began at the tender age of 5, initially as a defender. However, a switch to the goalkeeper position at 8 years old ignited a lifelong passion. Inspired by his goalkeeper father, Alessandro’s early training laid the foundation for a promising career.

At 11, he joined Calcio Como, where he faced off against renowned Italian clubs and learned from legendary goalkeepers. This experience culminated in his historic achievement as the youngest professional goalkeeper in Serie D in 2013.

A significant knee injury temporarily halted his playing career. Still, Alessandro’s unwavering love for the sport led him to the University of Dubuque in 2020. He contributed to two conference titles there, showcasing his resilience and dedication.

While his playing days may have ended, Alessandro’s passion for goalkeeping continues to burn bright. He has embarked on a coaching journey driven by the desire to empower young goalkeepers and help them reach their full potential and even professional teams. With his extensive experience and newfound coaching expertise, Alessandro is poised to impact the next generation of goalkeepers significantly.

As Iowa’s sole Just4Keepers goalkeeper coach, Alessandro is dedicated to sharing his expertise with young athletes across the state. Based in Northeast Iowa, he is eager to travel and work with aspiring goalkeepers wherever they may be.
